Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima ForkLift Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02098. With the Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack System already installed, we'll start by placing our bike rack on the roof rack. Bring the clamp around the bar. Remove the skewer from the top of the clamp. Slide the cover over the clamp, securing the T-bolt. After that, you will re-insert the skewer. more

Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH599XTR. With a Thule Crossroad Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Big Mouth directly onto our load bars. We'll go ahead and fit our brackets around each load bar, here at the front and at the rear. Here at the front platform, we'll bring the T-Slot fit it around our T-bolt and then use the wing nut on top to tighten it down. We can then repeat that process for the other side. With the front of our bike rack secured, we'll move to the rear. more

Swagman Upright Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Upright Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64720. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack system already assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the carrier up onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll then pull out our hardware and bring the silver brackets around the underside of the front bar, up through the pre-drilled holes in the front platform. We'll then take our black wing nuts that thread onto the silver brackets and tighten them down, securing the front part of the bike rack to the front bar. With this done, we can then move to the rear and take our last silver bracket to slide down through the pre-drilled holes of the bike rack. We can then take the black plate to go up against the underside of the rear bar, then using our wing nuts to thread onto the silver brackets to tighten it down. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll double check to make sure our frame hook is loose and that our front and rear strap are undone. We'll place our bike up onto the bike rack, bringing the frame hook up on the underside of the bottom portion of the frame, being careful as it may be difficult to maneuver it around this bracket as well as the pedals. With the frame hook in place, we can then turn the black knob to tighten it down, securing the front and rear tire with the red straps. more

Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted bike rack, part number S64710. With the Thule Rapid Crossroad Roof Rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the fork down directly onto our load bars. Here at the front platform, we'll bring the U bolt around the underside of our front bar, up through the platform, and secure it by tightening down two wing nuts. We can then repeat this process for the other side of the platform. Here at the rear, we'll drop the U bolt through the top of the bike rack, making sure it goes around our rear bar. We can then install the black metal bracket and secure it with two wing nuts. We'll go ahead and undo the wheel strap and make sure the skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab out bike and place it onto our carrier. We'll secure the bike first here at the front by dropping the forks down onto the skewer and tightening the skewer. more

SportRack Frame Mount Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey we'll be test fitting the SportRack frame-mounted roof bike rack, part number SR4611. With the Thule Rapid CrossRoads roof rack system onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll bring the rubber-coated brackets around the underside of the front bar up to the pre-drilled holes of the front platform. We'll then thread on our wing nuts onto the bracket and tighten them down, securing the front part of the bike rack to the front bar. Moving to the rear, we'll insert the black thick spacer in between the bar and the bike rack. We'll take our black bolts to slide down through the holes and take the rubber-coated steel plate to go on the underside of the rear bar, allowing the two black bolts to fit into the holes. more

SportRack Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Roof Mounted Fork Mounted bike rack, part number SR4622. With the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack system assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll bring the rubber-coated black brackets around the underside of the front bar, up through the pre-drilled holes of the front platform. We'll then take our black wing nuts that thread onto the black brackets, securing the front part of the bike rack to thefront bar. Next, moving to the rear, we'll slide the black bolts through the pre-drilled holes of the bike rack, taking the rubber-coated steel plate around the underside of the bar and installing our wing nuts. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll double check to make sure the skewer is loose at the front, and we'll undo the strap at the rear. We'll place our bike up onto the bike rack, sliding the forks down onto the skewer. We can then adjust the skewer and clamp it down, securing the back tire with the wheel strap. With our bike all loaded up, that'll be complete today's test fit for this SportRack Roof Mounted Fork Mount bike rack, part number SR4622, on our 2014 Dodge Journey. more

Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2013 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the Thule Domestique Fork Mount Bike Carrier, part number TH513. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well set it up on top or our load bars. Well fit the front clamp around our front bar and use an Allen key to tighten down the two Allen head bolts. At the back, well fit the clamp around the underside of our rear bar and again, use an Allen key to tighten the clamp around the bar. Then we can reinstall our skewer. Now we can go ahead and grab our bike. more

RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2013 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well set it up on top of our load bars. Well situate the head of the carrier over our front bar and feed the rubber coated steel straps around the bar and back into the head. Well then use an Allen key to tighten the straps down and then we can reinstall our cover. Before we move to the rear attachment point we want to make sure that our skewer is unlocked and open here at the front. At the back, well fit the clamp around our rear bar and use the wing nuts to tighten down the clamp onto the tube bolts. more

Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Dodge Journey- Video

Today on our 2011 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the Yakima Front Loader Bike Rack, part number Y02103. With our vehicle already equipped with the Yakima crossbars and our bike rack already preassembled were ready to go ahead and test fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by setting the bike rack on top of the crossbars. Well fit the front clamp into its position. Go ahead and tighten it down. Well then move to the rear clamp, and using the hardware, well get it secured into place. more
